UW Oshkosh Testing Services Supports:
General Information The GRE is generally administered to students applying for
graduate studies in non-business areas. The test is composed of verbal, quantitative and analytical writing sections. The GRE test
is offered ONLY as a computer adaptive exam. The GRE Subject tests are offered ONLY in a paper and pencil format.
Registration: Payment is due at the time of registration.
Cost: The current cost, which is subject to change without advanced notice, is
$140.00.
Rescheduling or canceling your appointment: If you need to cancel or reschedule your
appointment, you must call the test center or the National Registration Center at least 10 days prior to your scheduled appointment
or your entire test fee will be forfeited. A message on an answering machine is not acceptable.
Test Preparation: Every registered candidate will be mailed a free copy of the
Test Preparation for GRE: POWERPREP Software, Version 3.0. Allow up to 2 weeks for receipt of your CD-ROM. You may also download the
POWERPREP Software and the tutorials from the GRE Web site at www.gre.org once you have registered
for the GRE.
Parking: For your convenience we have five spaces in Lot #34 (Elmwood Avenue) which are
reserved spaces for clients of Testing Services - A permit is required (a permit can be purchased at the Information Booth in Lot 15
or Polk Library, Room 3B) the cost is $2.00.
Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to appointment. Note: Please do not
arrive late for your testing appointment. According to ETS guidelines we may not test you and fees will not be refunded.
Identification: One valid form of ID (driver's license) or Government issued ID with both
picture and signature. Note: If USA is not your country of citizenship, for GRE, a passport is required. Please see
the appropriate bulletin for detailed information.
